To be or not to be...

To be or not to be in the art business…. that is the question. After much soul searching, we have decided that this is the right time for us to retire and to dodge “the slings and arrows” of the business world. And so, in the words of The Bard….all’s well that ends well. We have had a great run and while we are a little sad to close our beautiful gallery on El Paseo, we are so grateful for the experience and for the wonderful relationships we have built over the last decade while operating art galleries in Carmel, Chicago and Palm Desert.

The good news is that youthful exuberance is driving our nephew, Christian Hohmann, to pick up where we leave off. As you probably know, Christian has managed our Palm Desert gallery for these last 7 years and with his outstanding knowledge and experience, has helped us build one of the most extraordinary art galleries in the desert.
He has decided to open his own art gallery this fall in a new location on El Paseo and although the name and location will change, all of your favorite artists will continue to be represented with new and exciting works of art. It goes without saying that Christian has our full support and encouragement and we hope that the same is true for all our patrons, clients and friends.
